Pricing

One small price. That is the whole business model.

Family Plan

$1.99 a month, up to 4 people

Free for 30 days first. No card to start. Up to 6 people at this price when you switch from another app and bring them.

  • Every feature, for everyone on the plan — no feature tiers, nothing held back
  • You start it and add your people by email or phone
  • No advertising and nothing sold
  • Wear OS watch app included
  • Cancel any time; delete everything whenever you want

Family Plan+ · $2.99 a month, up to 10 people. The same plan, bigger. Add a fifth person and yours moves to it by itself — prorated, nothing to set up — and moves back if the family shrinks.

Family Member Add-on · $9.99 a year. One named person for twelve months, whatever happens to the plan — for an eleventh, or someone who should not take a seat. Buy again to add another year.

Start it in the app: Settings → Family plan.

Why so cheap?

Because it is not carrying a company. Radius draws its own maps and sends calls directly between phones, so there is no per-user cloud bill to recover every month.

What happens after 30 days?

The manager is asked once. Nothing is deleted while you decide, and your data stays yours either way — the delete button works whether you have paid or not.

Compared with the others

Life360's useful tier is $149.99 a year — $750 over five years. Radius over five years is about $120. The full comparison.

How the plan works

The free month is your family plan, from the first minute.

1

Whoever installs is the manager

Sign in and your plan exists — free for thirty days, with you on it and room for three more. There is nothing to set up and no card to enter.

2

Add your people during the free month

From your list, or by typing an email address or phone number. Everyone on the plan shares your thirty days, so nobody's clock runs out before yours does.

3

When the month is up, you pay

The same plan flips to paid — $1.99 a month — and nobody on it notices anything. Change the card, see receipts, or cancel any time; a cancelled plan runs to the end of the month already paid for.

A plan is a family, and the manager decides who sees whom

Everyone on the plan sees the manager and the manager sees everyone. Whether two people on it see each other is the manager's circles: only while both are filed in the same one. Sam files Alex under Partner and Riley and Jo under Kids — Riley and Jo see each other and Sam; Alex sees only Sam. Everyone added starts in Family, together, until sorted. Each person's account, data and their own circles stay their own — their filing changes nothing about who sees whom. Someone on your plan can run their own family too — for a partner, a child, a friend — at $1.99 for up to four. Their people see them, not you.

Already on Life360 or another app? Keep everyone.

Bring your whole circle across and keep them all: up to six people on the $1.99, seven to ten for $2.99 a month, beyond that $9.99 a year per person. You name your people by phone or email; each is a seat the moment they sign in on their own phone, and over the thirty days each phone must report on 90% of its days — the ones that don't are taken off at the end, and you are told exactly who and why. How the switch works, and why we ask who rather than how many.

Family Member Add-on: $9.99 a year

Paid once by the manager for a named person: twelve months of Radius for them, whatever happens to the plan — cancel it, or take them off, and they keep what was paid for until the year is up, then get the ordinary thirty-day countdown and the $1.99 offer of their own. Buy again to add another year. They never take a seat.

Small print, in full

  • Payments are taken by Stripe. Radius never sees a card number; Stripe never sees your family or where anyone is.
  • The free month is per phone as well as per account. A new address on the same phone does not start it again.
  • One person can be on one other manager's plan and run their own at the same time — never on two other people's.
  • Prices in US dollars. Taxes, where they apply, are added at checkout.
  • Built for the United States: the map covers North America; address lookup and turn-by-turn directions cover the US. Android and Wear OS only; no iPhone app yet. Where it works.
  • Radius is in family testing; the store listing on Google Play is next. Buying inside the Play version will go through Google Play, at the same price.
