Licence
The Terms of Service cover using Radius the service. This page covers the software, meaning the app installed on your phone or watch. It's licensed to you, not sold.
This summary is here to help. It isn't part of the licence. The full text below is what counts.
Install and use the Radius app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in the way the app is designed to be used. That is the whole licence, and for a family using a family app it is all that is ever needed.
Copy the app for others, sell or rent it, take it apart to build something that impersonates it, or patch it to pretend the server told it something it did not — licences and consent records live on the server precisely so a modified app cannot invent them. None of this stops what the law allows regardless, such as interoperability research where you live permits it.
The app, the site, the Radius name and mark are Radius Family LLC's. Nothing here transfers them. What you create and send with the app stays yours — that is the terms, section 7.
Updates install through the store (or, on Android, through the app's own updater when installed directly). An update replaces the app and is covered by this same licence. We may retire versions that are too old to talk to the server safely; the app tells you when that is coming rather than going quiet.
This licence lasts until you delete the app, or until we end it because it was breached. Deleting the app does not delete your account — that is Settings → Delete account, or the web.
The same as the service: the app is provided "as is", and the promises Radius does not make — about accuracy, about crash detection, about alerts arriving — are set out in the terms, sections 9 and 10, which apply to this licence too.
You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. The app is built in the United States and this is a condition US law attaches to distributing software.
When the iOS app ships, these added clauses apply because Apple requires them: this agreement is between you and Radius Family LLC, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Claims about the app — product liability, legal or regulatory non-conformance, consumer protection — are ours to handle, not Apple's. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this licence and may enforce it against you.
Installs from Google Play are also subject to Google Play's own terms. Installing the APK directly from this site involves no store and nothing beyond this licence and the terms.
