Delete some of your Radius data

Clear your history or your messages and keep your account. This page explains how; the app does the work, signed in as you.

In the app

  1. Open Radius and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to Deleting your account.
  3. Tap Delete location history or Delete all messages, and confirm.

On the web

Sign in at radiusfamily.com/app, open Account, and use the same two buttons under Your data.

What each one deletes

Delete location historyEvery recorded position, every stop and drive worked out from them, and every arrival or departure, deleted from the server at once. Where you are right now stays, because you are still sharing it; it is replaced by your phone's next report.
Delete all messagesEvery message you have sent or received, in every conversation, with the photos, videos and documents they carried, removed from the server and from storage. There is one copy of a conversation, so the people you were talking to lose it too.

Both are immediate and cannot be undone.

What is kept

Your account, sign-in addresses, name, photo, saved places, groups, connections and signed-in devices stay until you delete the account itself (how to do that).

What goes on its own anyway

Radius does not keep history for long even if you never press either button: location history is deleted after 10 days, and messages after 14 — or sooner, if a conversation is set to a week, a day, or removed once read.

If you cannot sign in

Write to [email protected] from the address on the account, say which of the two you want, and it will be done for you within 30 days.
